Greetings Soft Landing!

We can’t wait to gather again this fall to share our love, dusty hugs, and tea!    Please read below for opportunities to contribute to Soft Landing and create an amazing experience this year.   We will send out our official “Intent to Camp / Space Request” form in late May.  Start planning now! 

Tickets

Soft Landing will likely have extra tickets available for campers.   Please send an email to campsoftlanding@gmail.com if you’d like to be put on the waiting list for a ticket or vehicle pass. 

Join us for Gear Sort / Trailer Transfer

We need volunteers! Are you able to contribute your time to help improve Soft Landing's trailer?  Every year, Soft Landing volunteers gather at our camp storage container to sort, organize, record, and replenish camp supplies in preparation for our journey to the playa.

We are planning for May 3-4 in Empire, Nevada.   If you are interested, please send us an email at campsoftlanding@gmail.com by March 31st so that we can coordinate logistics.  Lodging will be provided and, as usual, gear sort counts towards your SL shifts.

Recruiting Now for Build and Strike! 

Build is an opportunity to bring our camp to life, to build new & lasting relationships, and to see the city literally grow before your own eyes!  Strike (camp teardown) is essential to return the Playa to its natural state and to ready our infrastructure for future years.  In addition to being of great service to our camp (and to the playa!), build and strike count toward your camp shifts.

Teahouse Rug Call: Help Us Create Our Cozy Space!

Great news! Our teahouse has a brand new structure this year with more floor space to fill. We need your help sourcing rugs to create our signature cozy vibe.

How You Can Help

  • Bring a rug (or several!) with you to the playa

  • Focus on smaller rugs (ideally 5'×7' or less) - they're easier to transport and perfect for our patchwork aesthetic

  • Source them for free or nearly free from Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, etc.

  • Remember: they don't need to be pristine, just reasonably clean and non-moopy

The Perfect Rug

  • If you'd be happy sitting on it, it's perfect for our space

  • Try not to spend money, but if you find something under $25, we can reimburse you

Your contributions will help make our teahouse the welcoming oasis we all love. Let's create this beautiful space together!

SL Dates

  • Apply to join camp: Applications for new campers are open! Remember that all new campers must be sponsored by an existing camper. Please direct them to apply here. Make sure any new camper reads camp orientation guidelines here.

  • Gear Sort: May 3-4 

  • Dues and Shift spreadsheets open: June

  • Acculturation Meetings (new format this year!):  June - July
